18 Dollar Tree Craft Room Organization Hacks & Ideas
I am sharing a few of my favorite projects here with you to give you an idea of what is included in the video. I hope you enjoy them!
DIY Craft Organizer Lazy Susan
This craft caddy is very easy to make. You need a few supplies from Dollar Tree:
- 2 Plate Chargers
- 4 Acrylic Organizers (with 3 sections)
- 4 Small Vases or Cups with Wide Openings
- Dollar Tree Paint Brush Holder
- Small Wood Pieces
- Tumbling Tower Blocks
And you will need a hot glue gun with glue sticks and some long and strong holding adhesive like E6000. I have a sample of a glue that I have been using. It seems to act just like E6000, but it’s a little bit cheaper. It’s called B-7000 glue.
I think I will do a comparison video of both of these adhesives to see how they compare.
You will also need a lazy Susan. You can buy a two-pack at Amazon affordably.
Next, You just build your tower and secure the pieces in place with your glue. I did use a few of the tumbling tower block pieces to hold my vases up a little. Then once the craft caddy was assembled, I gave it 2 coats of spray paint to make it look like it was all one piece instead of pieced together.
DIY Large Paint Holder
Using 12 Dollar Tree pen and pencil organizers, and a long Dollar Tree sign, I made this paint holder. The compartments hold a 2-ounce bottle of paint perfectly, and it was easy to make. The video shows step-by-step how to duplicate this paint holder.
Dollar Tree Shoe Organizer
The 8-pocket shoe organizer that Dollar Tree carries is perfect for providing extra storage. I hung one up in my craft closet to utilize the wall space even better.
Dollar Tree Peg Board Wall Station
Dollar Tree Organization Ideas and Hacks
I never seem to have enough storage for all of the tools I have for my crafts. So having options is always better, in my opinion. And I made a smaller pegboard station to hold some of my tools using Dollar Tree components. The white pegboard is from Dollar Tree, as are all of the hooks and shelves. And as a happy accident, I found that the Dollar Tree hooks and shelves fit my other pegboard (the black framed one).
Refrigerator Soda Storage Containers
If you have a lot of different size paint containers, it can be challenging to find a way to store them. This is where these Dollar Tree Soda holders come in handy. I can keep all of my larger paint bottles together and organized with these handy containers.
Dollar Tree DIY Shelving Unit
Wow right? I made this using 4 Dollar Tree wooden totes and 6 long-shelf sitters. Well, actually, 4 of the shelf sitters were on clearance from Hobby Lobby, and they were cheaper than Dollar Tree if you can believe it.
Then I used Waverly white chalk paint to paint everything one solid color. Now I have an adorable shelving unit that fits onto a bookshelf and gives me more options for storing and showcasing my projects.
Dollar Tree DIY Wall Paint Holder
Now this was a fun project. I used Dollar Tree, box-style shelf sitters. And bonus tip – when I bought these last week at Dollar Tree, there were actually TWO shelf sitters in the package! They also had some wall art pieces with TWO pieces in each package! That is so awesome! It’s like two for one!
Dollar Tree Organization Ideas and Hacks
And to make this wall hang up I used 3 shelf sitters, and these are the hollow style. I turned them upside down and glued them between two pieces of Dollar Tree wood. Turning them upside down creates a lip to hold the paint bottles within the shelf sitter. So I don’t have to worry that I will knock the paint off the shelf.
Dollar Tree DIY Rope Storage Basket
Isn’t this rope basket beautiful? It was very easy to make too! I used a Dollar Tree tub, cotton rope that I had from Amazon, and a pillowcase from Dollar Tree. A lot of hot glue later, and I crafted a beautiful rope basket that I can use for storage in my craft room, or anywhere in my home actually!
