Happy Springtime! I, for one, am SO excited that spring is here. Ok, not officially, but with the time change and the warmer temperatures, it is feeling very spring-like where I live. And in anticipation of spring, I have been busy crafting. So I thought I would share with you my easy spring and Easter DIYS that I have been putting together.
Sometimes I use my craft room as my sanctuary away from the winter doldrums that seem to come around every year about this time. I mean, I am so looking forward to the nicer weather, and the sunshine that I come up to my craft room to almost help encourage the spring to happen. Even if I am not the reason that it finally gets here, I have something to keep me busy, and happy while I await the return of spring.
Dollar Tree DIYS
While I may not be writing every single day for this site, I have been very busy making videos of all of the DIYs I have been doing. I wanted to share them with you. Let me inspire you to get crafty and happy!
Faux Painting Techniques
Let me start with a whole bunch of different painting techniques. If you are looking for an affordable way to have some pretty planters in your home or even outside, I have put together this video with 15 different faux painting techniques.
I either had or found all of these planters and vessels at Dollar Tree to make these beautiful pieces. In the video, I show you exactly how you can duplicate the look. Thrifting your own stash is a great way to come up with a new decor piece for the season. Then you donβt have to spend a lot of money to buy something from places like Pottery Barn or West Elm. You can make it yourself.
Easy Easter Crafts
I love finding seasonal decor pieces at Dollar Tree to create original and high-end decor for my holiday decor. They really do have a large selection of pieces. You only need a little imagination or creativity and a couple of hours to make some fun Easter decor.
I love making crafts with light colors. I think pastels are my favorite for spring. How about you?
Dollar Tree Wood Cutouts
Have you seen the Dollar Tree Easter Egg Cutouts? These things are so cool. And you can do so many different things with them! I bought 8 different easter egg wall decorations to make all of these crafts. And while I really loved them all, I think the bunny is my favorite.
Sorry, I know this is a large photo but isnβt this the cutest bunny? Oh, my goodness. Seeing it just makes me smile! And in this video, I show you step-by-step how to make this bunny!
But I didnβt stop at the egg cutouts. Oh no, I also did a bunch of the bunny cutouts they have too!
Every one of these crafts were so easy to make! I love each of them. They turned out so cute.
But if I had to pick one as my most favorite, I would choose this one. I used Folk Art Crackle Medium to give this bunny an aged appearance. And I love the sunflower material. I actually found it at Dollar Tree if you can believe it!
