I am SO excited. It is time to start making some new decor for my Christmas decorating! And I thought the crafts may inspire you to make something new for your decor, too. I have compiled 20 easy Dollar Tree Christmas crafts to help get you in the Christmas crafting mood!

Yarn Gnome
This little yarn gnomie (as I like to call it) is SO easy to make. You only need a few items, which you can find at Dollar Tree, yarn, cotton balls, and Christmas embellishments, and you can create some adorable ornaments for the tree or even some fun gift tags for your packages.
Easy Loopy Yarn Wreath
If you want a winter-type wreath, you can make one using a Dollar Tree wreath form, the styrofoam kind, some loopy yarn, bottle brush style Christmas trees, and a few pine picks to craft a beautiful wreath.
Pool Noodle Birch Logs
Oh my goodness! I love how easy it was to make these pool noodle birch logs! They are so pretty and lightweight. You can make little bunches of birch logs for lots of different decorating for Christmas using birch ribbon, a pool noodle, and some Christmas embellishments. If you can’t find the birch bark ribbon at your local Dollar Tree, they do have it on Amazon! It’s more expensive than Dollar Tree, but you also get 49 yards of the material! That is a lot of birch bark!
Christmas Tree Sign
This sign is simple to make. All you need is a Dollar Tree sign, some Christmas-themed cardstock paper, and some paint to make this adorable hang-up for decorating. I used a plain Christmas tree ornament for the center that I got from Hobby Lobby when it was on clearance. I bought 6 packs of these blanks for a project that I cannot remember now. So I have got to figure out a purpose for all of these little Christmas trees!
Christmas Ornament Wreath
Ok, I know this has been shown a gazillion times. But I couldn’t help myself! I have tried multiple times to make a Christmas bulb ornament wreath worthy of sharing, and I finally figured it out! This took a lot of ornaments, and they are all put onto a Dollar Tree wire wreath form. This is an easy craft but time-consuming. So if you want to make something like this, make sure you have plenty of glue sticks, Christmas ornaments, and patience! It will be worth it in the end, I promise!
Rustic Joy Sign
If you want a simple and rustic holiday decoration, you could craft this JOY sign. It’s simple, and pretty!
Easy Christmas Crafts
What do you think so far? Pretty easy, right? Ok! That is only 6 different crafts, lets get to some more shall we?
Snowy Christmas Trees
I love using styrofoam cones to craft Christmas trees! And I found these cones at Dollar Tree, the larger ones. And The smaller ones are from Hobby Lobby. Add a little paint and some Dollar Tree snow, and you will have Christmas trees!
Dollar Tree Racetrack Lanterns
Are you wanting to make some Christmas lanterns? You can do it using Dollar Tree supplies and a little spray paint in your favorite color.
Horse Christmas Ornament
Not the best picture, but how cute is this? Using Breyer model horses in the Stablemate size and a few chenille stems, you can craft some very pretty ornaments for your Christmas tree.
Sock Snowmen
You can make snowmen too! These are no sew, and so easy to make using socks! You could craft an entire collection of snowmen in just a few hours. They make great, inexpensive Christmas gifts too!
Velvet Christmas Trees
I used large cones for these trees. But you could use Dollar Tree cones or even posterboard to make some beautiful velvet yarn-covered trees. I really want to make these in red velvet. Wouldn’t that be beautiful?
Birch Bark Votive Holder
I made this using the Birch Bark ribbon. And it was simple. I just wrapped it around a Dollar Tree votive holder. I would not use a real candle, however. But for the battery-powered faux votives, this is perfect!
DIY Riser/Table
I make these all the time to use for my tiered trays. Using tumbling tower blocks from Dollar Tree, you can make all sorts of tables and risers to elevate parts of your decor.
They are so easy to make and really add an extra element of style to your decorating.
Easy Christma Crafts
Well, there are seven additional crafts for you to think about. WHat do you think so far? Do you see any pieces that you would consider adding to your decorating? If not, keep reading!
Votive Wreath
To go along with the riser table – see, isn’t it cute? I crafted this little wreath to go on top. Next, I took a pretty votive holder that I found at Dollar Tree and added a battery power votive, also from Dollar Tree. I like that it adds a little extra interest to the candle holder and it ties the entire piece together. Giving it a more cohesive and purposeful look.
Rusty Candle Holders
Again, using pieces I found at Dollar Tree I was able to craft these candle holders. I made them look old and rusty by faux painting them rust. You can find my rust faux painting technique on my YouTube channel!
Rusty Reindeer
I am so glad that Dollar Tree brought back this reindeer! I found it last year for the first time ever, and they have brought it back this year too. It originally had a plaid look, but I wanted a rustic appearance. So I gave it a rusty paint, added in some greenery, and now I have an adorable accent piece for my decorating this year.
Elegant White Reindeer
Sometimes simple is better, wouldn’t you agree? And that is what I did with these plastic reindeer from Dollar Tree. I spray-painted them white and added a red ribbon to each one. I love the simplicity of the reindeer. So elegant and simple. To achieve this look, I used a matte finish spray paint.
DIY Decorator Tray
And if you want a tray to put your newly crafted pieces on, why not make one? I made this custom tray for less than $10 using supplies from Dollar Tree.
Merry and Bright Sign
Have you noticed how the saying Merry and Bright seems to be on everything Christmas-related lately? Well, I jumped on that trend and made this sign using Dollar Tree ornaments. I love how the trees stand out against the dark background.
Pottery Barn Inspired Ornaments
And for my final craft, I was inspired by Pottery Barn. Last year, Pottery Barn had glitter-covered pinecone ornaments that they were selling for $10 EACH. That is way too expensive for me. And because I live in the country and have lots of pine trees, I collect them every year for crafting. But if you don’t have pine cones, you can find them at the Dollar Tree.
Easy Christmas Crafts
What do you think of my crafts? Have I inspired you? I hope so! If you have a little bit of extra time because of the shorter days of fall, why not put that time to use and make some crafts? I find it a great way to reflect on the year, and it helps me to get excited about the upcoming holiday season.
Happy Crafting!

I absolutely love your DIY Christmas ideas. The one I really wanted to make was the one using the jubilee white yarn for a wreath. What size green styrofoam wreath did you use?
Lisa
Hi Peggy 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words! The wreath form I used was a 9.8″ wreath from Dollar Tree. I hope you are able to make one for yourself!
