Home for the Holidays – Affordable Holiday Decor

I know it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet. But have you started planning your holiday decorating plan yet? I have! And I have been thinking about adding a few new items to my plan. But finding affordable holiday decor can be difficult, to say the least. However, I have found some fabulous, affordable holiday decor pieces, and I just had to share them with you because they are just too cute!

Affordable Holiday Decor

Every year before I bring in my holiday decorations, I start searching for a few new extra pieces that I want to incorporate into my existing decor. I don’t go crazy, just a few new things to refresh my decorating for the new season.

Throw blankets are an affordable option that offers a lot of impact without costing a lot of money. And you have the added benefit of having something cozy to snuggle up in when you’re watching your favorite holiday movie.

They also make thoughtful gifts. Recently I had surgery on my shoulder, and on my last day at work, a co-worker gave me a gorgeous blanket. So warm and soft! I was truly touched by her thoughtfulness.

Affordable Style for Holiday Decorating

I saw this adorable snowman pillow at Pottery Barn. And when I saw him, oh my goodness. I knew I wanted to add him to my decor. But “Archie” is out of my price range for one item. So, I found an alternative for less than half the cost.

Isn’t he adorable??? I found this Snowman Pillow on Amazon for less than half the cost of the Pottery Barn version. How awesome is that? But if you want him, you need to get him soon. The last time I checked, they only had 5 left. So get him while you can!

And while I was on my quest to find the snowman pillow, I found a few more decor pieces that I will be adding. I mean, I was able to save a little bit of money with my pillow purchase. So let me show you some of the holiday treasures I found!

Standing Deer Figures

Aren’t these deer adorable? I can just see them on my fireplace mantle. They are sold individually, but the pair of them are gorgeous! They are big too. The smaller one is 11.75″ tall, and the larger one is 13.25″ tall. They are sturdy and made from cast metal. So they will last for years!

Lighted Willow Branch 

Talk about adding some ambiance to a room. These lighted willow branches would be so pretty in a pot in a corner of a room. Or even on a dresser. Can you see it? Beautiful right?

Brass Rustic Christmas Bells

I love rustic bells. There is just something magical about the sound they make. And they are gorgeous when teamed up with a little bit of greenery.

Do you love adding Christmas trees to your holiday decor? I do! I have a fairly extensive Christmas tree collection. Some that I have bought, and even more that I have DIY’d.

Affordable Holiday Decor

I wanted to mention that I try to use the new pieces I buy to replenish my existing Christmas decorations. I get rid of some of the old decorator items I have. No sense in keeping pieces I don’t use. So when I do buy something new, I try to reduce my collection by at least two items. It makes me feel better not to add extra storage containers to my already very large supply of Christmas decorations!

Because I already have plenty!
